Wellgate Community Farm Needs Your Vote

Wellgate Community Farm recently contacted Jon Cruddas MP and has called for the support of the local community to help win funding for the Aviva Community Fund 2017. This opportunity could make a big difference to local projects and bring a positive change.

The Farm hopes to collect as many votes to increase their chances of funding of up to £5,000 which will allow them to purchase a horse and cart to improve their educational, accredited training and recreational activities for the local community.

Wellgate Community Farm was set up in 1982 to provide a focus for community activity. The Farm is free to visit and is a friendly environment for families and many others. It is a place where they can belong, make a difference, learn and make new friends.

Jon Cruddas MP said: "I hope local residents will get behind this and vote for Wellgate Community Farm. You get 10 votes after registering, so make sure you use all 10 of your votes for this project like I did! I'm wishing the Community Farm the best of luck and will be keeping an eye on the progress."

Elizabeth Webb, Farm Development Manager said: "This project was chosen by farm volunteers and users. Please vote for us?This one additional resource will make a big difference providing skills and qualifications for future employment, a new opportunity to engage more people and making an exciting rural activity accessible to people in their own urban environment. And of course a new friend for Dingle our now retired pony!"
