Queens hospital critical incident

The revelation that Queens hospital declared an “internal critical incident” on 12 March due to bed pressures at the hospital is a massive concern to all local residents. The critical incident means that the management at the hospital will have to seek support from other hospitals across London and elsewhere in order to cope with demand for health care and hospital admissions.

Jon Cruddas MP calls for people in Dagenham and Rainham to get protected against measles as cases rise

Jon Cruddas is calling on anyone who isn’t vaccinated to urgently come forward to get their measles (MMR) vaccine amid rising cases in the West Midlands and concerns of a rapid outbreak in London in coming weeks if action is not taken.

Local Nurse Receives RCN Rising Star Award

Jon Cruddas MP and Margaret Mullane, Labour PPC for Dagenham and Rainham, have sent their congratulations to local Mental Health Nurse, Shalini Ramguttee. Shalini won the London Royal College of Nursing’s Rising Stars award to recognise excellence in patient care, innovation, and leadership from London’s Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic nursing community. 

MP Calls for Investment in GP Services

Jon Cruddas, Labour MP for Dagenham and Rainham, met with North East London NHS senior management (4 Nov) to discuss their plans for GP and primary health care services across Rainham, South Hornchurch and Elm Park. Jon is concerned that the area has seen a contraction in local GP surgeries in recent times whilst housing development has continued at a large scale in the south of Havering.
