Just over 90 years ago, at 1:16pm on October 1, 1931, the first Ford vehicle rolled off the production line at what was then Ford’s newest global production facility, Ford Dagenham.

On Wednesday 29 April Jon Cruddas MP visited the Dagenham Ford Plant to find out more about their role working with other significant UK industrial, technology and engineering businesses to produce 15,000 much need medical ventilators in support of the Covid-19 effort.

Jon was greeted, at a safe physical distance, by convenors and trade union representatives and got to see first-hand the work taking place at the Dagenham factory.
