Over the next 12 years, Wates Residential will be partnering with Havering Council to regenerate 12 council estates across Havering. The announcement in March 2018 stated that around 3,000 homes will be built on sites across the borough.

Last week Wates Residential carried out a week-long volunteering event which saw flower beds and vegetable patches planted across several housing estates across Havering, with help from senior officers of the council.

Earlier this year Dagenham United Charity organised Easter eggs to be delivered to the 150 children currently living in Butler Court, a homeless hostel in Dagenham. Normally during the festive season the charity organises hampers for struggling residents but this Christmas Councillor Margaret Mullane, one of the Trustees for Dagenham United Charity, is taking it a step further.
