Chadwell Heath Community Centre needs your support!

Each year the local Sainsbury’s branch at Chadwell Heath chooses a charity partner to support for 12 months. The partner is decided upon by the public and all you have to do is get down to the Sainsbury’s in Chadwell Heath and fill out a nomination form.

The community centre offers many local services, acting as a children's centre, hosting activities for residents and still providing the area with its only library.

Recently Jon Cruddas MP was contacted by a local resident who brought this story to his attention regarding a local woman and her battle against cancer. Jon is in full support of the family and hopes that even in these hard times people will do all they can to help the them.

Here is Lauren Dixon's story:

Small Charity Week 2013: June 17th – June 22nd

Local lad Robert Collins who is employed at the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham Council has been selected to participate in next years London Marathon on behalf of the charity "Help A Capital Child".

Russel Duffield is a young local boy that was born with Cerebral-Palsy which means that he is unable to walk and is in a wheelchair. His family and friends are currently attempting to raise enough money in order to send him to America for an operation that may enable him to walk and improve his quality of life. Before he is able to have the operation he must go through a lot of Physiotherapy in order to prepare his body.

Local resident Bob Armitage will be running the London Marathon this year to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital.
