Sep 13, 2017

London Fire Brigade are currently recruiting Fire Cadets aged 14-17 and Adult Volunteers aged 18+ at units across London.

Fire Cadets is a free, nationally recognised programme offering young people between the ages of 14 and 17 the opportunity to gain a credible qualification as well as develop their personal skills. They will also have to be prepared to work in a team.

Jon Cruddas, the MP for Dagenham & Rainham, has opposed government plans to cut funding for Fire and Rescue Services by 20%. A passionate supporter of the Fire Brigades Union (FBU), Jon is concerned that the cuts will compromise the capacity of hardworking firefighters to provide lifesaving 24/7 emergency services for a wide range of hazards.

Dagenham Fire Station regeneration

Feb 05, 2015

As you may be aware there are works being held at Dagenham Fire Station, located on Rainham Road North, for the construction of a new and improved fire station. These works commenced on the 26th November 2014 and are anticipated to continue on until the end of 2015. The remodelling of the fire station, which is being led by Kier Construction, has already seen great progress as most of the demolition works have been finished.
