A Greater London Authority report published in May 2020 highlights that more than half of all deaths within London attributable to emissions from waste incineration facilities occur within just nine boroughs. The research clearly shows Barking and Dagenham and Havering as having the highest concentration of particulates and other harmful emissions as a direct result of incineration.

 

This week the public consultation on plans to expand London City Airport come to a close. Over the last few weeks Jon Cruddas MP has been contacted by many constituents raising their concerns about impacts on air quality. 

Jon Cruddas MP for Dagenham and Rainham, has signed a cross-party letter to the Prime Minister asking her to undo the blocks the government has placed on onshore wind energy. This support was welcomed today by 10:10 Climate Action and Power for People, who are coordinating the letter.
