Join the conversation and help design future plans for King George and Queen’s hospitals.

Over the last few months, Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust (BHRUT) has been reviewing what King George and Queen’s hospitals should look like in the future to make sure that all residents, regardless of where they live, can access high-quality services across both sites.

The most recent Care Quality Commission inspection found that whilst there had been some improvements in patient services at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust, it still ‘Requires Improvement’. This remains unchanged since the last inspection in 2016.

The CQC inspection did find some areas of outstanding practice.

Due to a lack of resources and overstretched services, the Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospital Trust is urging local residents to use alternative services to alleviate pressure from the Accident & Emergency departments of both Queen’s and King Georges Hospitals.
