This Wednesday Rainham & Wennington resident Fay Hough will be marching in protest to Andrew Rosindell’s office, the Member of Parliament for Romford. Fay is hoping to be joined by over 50 local parents from across Havering all in support of the campaign that she launched back in 2014; ‘Awareness for Autism’.

Jon Cruddas has thrown his support behind a campaign by local mother Fay Hough to raise awareness of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) – a condition that affects social interaction, communication, interests and behaviour.

Fay, whose family has been affect by the disorder, has launched a campaign aiming to spread awareness of autism among the general public. Although 1 in 100 people in the UK today live with the disorder, there is still a way to go in terms of increasing the public’s understanding of the issue and in challenging many of the misconceptions surrounding it.

Community Focus: RAGS

RAGS provide help and support for families whose lives are touched by Autism. We believe that every person with autism has potential to fulfil, and we enable this by supporting the entire family - parents, siblings and the individual with autism.
