This week the Principle and CEO of Barking and Dagenham College contacted Jon Cruddas MP with details of the economic recovery plan laid out by the Association of Colleges (AoC). The plan is called REBUILD: A skills led recovery and it sets out a clear directive to support workers and students, providing new opportunities to create employment and learning infrastructure.

Applications have just become available for the Social Mobility Foundation’s 2015 internship and university preparation programmes. The Social Mobility Foundation runs a number of completely free programmes that place high-achieving and motivated Year 12 students in professional internships in London. Students who qualify and are accepted will receive an internship placement in one of eleven professional pathways, career workshops, and university application support.

British Telecom (BT) is widely recognised as one of the UK’s leading apprenticeship providers and has recently been recognised by the Learning Skills Council. BT is constantly working with learning providers across the country to help develop their ever growing apprenticeship scheme.
