Local MP Jon Cruddas has this week heaped praise on the work of GCSE and A Level students in his constituency of Dagenham and Rainham.

Jon Cruddas praises the "effort, graft and hard-work" of local students

Last Thursday, A level students across the borough of Barking and Dagenham achieved record-breaking results in their summer exams. Jon Cruddas described the results as "outstanding", saying that the students had "done our area proud".

Numerous schools around the constituency of Dagenham and Rainham achieved their best-ever A level results, with record numbers of students in the borough achieving pass grades and above.

Such achievements will provide much encouragement and inspiration to the area's GCSE students, who are presently waiting for their own results to be released on Thursday.

Dagenham and Rainham MP Jon Cruddas was full of praise for the efforts of local students. He said;

"The A level results achieved by students in my constituency were outstanding. These results mean so much to those concerned and it's brilliant to see so many of them attain such brilliant grades.

"Full credit must go to the effort, graft and hard-work of the students involved. But we must not forget the support systems which help our youngsters through these challenges. These grades should be a cause of pride for students, parents, teachers and school governors alike."

Jon Cruddas wished "good luck" to local GCSE students still waiting for their results, stating that he believed they would emulate the success achieved last week by the area's A level students.
