Rainham Health Centre Pavement Repaired

In November 2018 Jon Cruddas MP met with members of The Rainham Health Centre Patient Committee. Members discussed with Jon their concerns regarding Rainham Health Centre, one of the main problems being a pavement crater that was situated outside the centre.

The crater, which is displayed in the photo above, was large and a hazard to residents accessing the health centre. Elderly residents were constantly tripping over the broken pavement, and whenever the rain fell the crater would fill which proved to be extremely dangerous.

After meeting the patients committee, Jon Cruddas MP spoke to Havering's CCG (clinical commissioning group) and just last week, Jon received the news that the pavement had been repaired.

Jon Cruddas MP said: "I'm glad this matter has been resolved, the crater was proving to be dangerous for those accessing the health centre. I will continue to work with The Rainham Health Centre Patient Committee on other concerns they raised which, will hopefully have just as much of a positive outcome as this one."
