Proposal to Expand Brady Primary School

At the end of September 2018, Havering Council published a statutory notice setting out its formal proposal to expand Brady Primary school. The expansion introduces a 30-place maintained nursery provision thereby, lowering the age range of the school from 4 -11years to 2-11years to enable the school offer 3 &4-year-old early years places.

The publication of this statutory notice marks the beginning of the formal consultation (representation period) of four weeks which started on Friday 28 September 2018 and ends on Friday 26 October 2018.

This Representation Period is the final opportunity for people and organisations to express their views before a final decision is made.

Brady primary is a one form entry school with a Published Admission Number (PAN) of 30 and a permanent capacity of 202. It currently has 205 children on roll. This proposal also intends to expand the capacity of the school and increase the admission number for children attending from Reception to Year 6. The proposed capacity following expansion would be 420 places with a PAN of 60. The school will grow incrementally by offering these additional 30 places in Reception from September 2020 onwards.

Any comments and objections must be received before the end of the representation period by sending them to: Pooneeta Mahadeo, School Organisation Manager, London Borough of Havering, 9th Floor Mercury House, Mercury Gardens, Romford, RM1 3DW or by emailing schoolsorganisation@havering.gov.uk.
