Consultation on Improvements to New Road A1306, South Hornchurch

The London Borough of Havering has acquired £4.5m of funding from the Mayor of London and 1.8 million pounds from Transport for London to advance plans to transform New Road in South Hornchurch Ward. Subject to TFL approvals of the final design, further funding will be released to help deliver the scheme.

The new A13 was built almost twenty years ago, yet the borough feels New Road still retains the look and feel of its old function as a trunk road.

There is now also a greater understanding of how transport can affect health and well-being, and the scheme intends to help reduce air pollution and encourage the community to cycle and catch public transport.

You can find more information about the scheme HERE or at South Hornchurch Library (Rainham Road, RM13 7RD) until Saturday 21st July. The council would like to hear from you, and an online questionnaire has been set up which is accessible on the webpage until Sunday 22nd July 2018 in which you can share your thoughts.

There will also be information session where you can meet the project team and find out more about the scheme being held:
