Jon Cruddas MP visited Leys Primary School in Dagenham to see for himself how well the student Breakfast Club scheme, supported by Kelloggs, was running. The Leys Primary School Breakfast Club, set up under the leadership of Head teacher Mr Krog, allows youngsters to have a full breakfast before the start of the school day.

The introduction of the scheme has improved the ability of children to learn by making sure they are not hungry and able to concentrate in classes. The scheme has also been successfully utilised by working families.

Jon Cruddas MP said “It was great to see in person how successful the club has been. Leys Primary School has seen improvements under Mr Krog’s leadership, the breakfast club being just one of them. It’s great that a company like Kelloggs is supporting these projects across the country”.
