Local MP encourages residents to ?March for Men?

There are over 45,000 new cases of prostate cancer every year in the UK. Just over 11,000 of those cases result in fatality. The ?March for Men' was established by Prostate Cancer UK to raise awareness and funds for crucial research. The charity are investing heavily in research that'll change the game for men, meaning better diagnosis, better treatment and better prospects after treatment.

Jon Cruddas MP is encouraging local residents to get involved with the fundraising by registering and taking part in the annual ?March for Men' event in June. Full details are as follows:

Saturday 16th June at the Olympic Park, Stratford.

Registration starts at 10am and the walk itself begins at 11am.

Jon said: "Prostate cancer is the most common form of cancer found in men nationally and the work of Prostate Cancer UK seeks to achieve better preventative action, better treatment, and better support. This is a disease that will affect 1 in 8 men in their lifetime and more needs to be done to raise awareness. The event in June is a great way to support the research being carried out by Prostate Cancer UK and to show support for thousands of men across the country."
