Jon Cruddas MP's team met last week with local Metropolitan Police to discuss crime issues raised by residents of Rainham and South Hornchurch. These meetings will be held on a quarterly basis.

Jon followed up the meeting with requests for additional policing in South Hornchurch and Rainham and has requested Havering Council to address the lack of CCTV coverage in the south of Havering.

Jon also wants to encourage local residents to join the Safe Neighbourhood Teams. Advice on how to do so are on the Met Police website. Meetings of the SNT take place quarterly and are held in the evening.

Jon Cruddas MP: “The local Police are doing their best but they are stretched, I am pushing for greater policing resources for Rainham and South Hornchurch. I have also asked Havering Council to give priority to the area for CCTV, that would help the police and deter crime.”
