It’s A-level results day for students across the constituency. Today students will receive eagerly awaited envelopes containing the fruits of their labour – colleges and sixth form schools will be opening for the morning to allow students to collect their results.

Teenagers and mature students across the country will today find out if all their hard work has paid off, and if they have achieved the grades needed to secure a place at a university of their choice.

Jon Cruddas MP for Dagenham and Rainham said: “I want to say congratulations and well done to all the teachers and institutions across Dagenham, Rainham, South Hornchurch and Elm Park for the hard work they put in throughout the year, ensuring that the students are getting all they can out of their courses – for many local young people these results are the first step down their future educational and career paths, and I want to wish them good luck with their results and all the best for the future.”
