Wellbeing Opportunities for Local Residents

Free mental health and wellbeing support is being offered to the residents of Dagenham and Rainham. Mind is a prominent mental health charity, supporting those living with mental health issues on a local and national level ranging from advice on wellbeing to consulting Parliament regarding new mental health laws.

The exciting opportunity being offered by Mind is the Live a Better Life programme. This is a 10-week course which is designed to provide local residents with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)-inspired self-help tools and healthy coping skills. The weekly sessions will cover a variety of topics such as anxiety, stress, anger management, depression, sleep and nutrition among others.

Upon completion of the programme, clients are offered to join a peer group with others who have completed the course. This is to encourage people to continue to support one another back in the local community.

The next group of sessions will be taking place:

Barking and Dagenham- Thursday 18th January (meeting weekly every Thursday)

Havering- Wednesday 17th January (meeting weekly every Wednesday)
