Air Pollution Reports in Rainham

Jon Cruddas MP and Labour’s PPC Margaret Mullane have both received reports from residents around the Parsonage Road, Rainham area of alleged illegal burning of plastic. Residents have spoken of strong smells of plastic burning around school pick up of children who attend Parsonage Farm Primary. This has allegedly been happening 2/3 times a week, for several weeks.

MP Seeks Plan of Action to Tackle Launders Lane Fires

Jon Cruddas MP has acted to bring together all organisations that have a part to play in tackling the ongoing fires on the former landfill site in Launders Lane Rainham. Residents across Rainham and south Hornchurch have been plagued for some years from pollution from the increasingly frequent underground fires on Arnolds Field.

Every year, air pollution is responsible for 36,000 deaths in the UK and in recent years the air pollution in London has been recorded at ‘illegal’ levels.
