Free Waterway Training Course in Dagenham

This week Jon Cruddas MP has been contacted by Thames21 who are collaborating with Land of the Fanns to host their flagship, accredited course ?Leading a Waterway Clean Up' in Dagenham. The course will run over two days (Saturday 11th and 18th May) and will be based in the Eastbrookend Country Park Millennium Visitor Centre, Romford, RM7 0SS.

The course is being offered for FREE as part of a project to enhance the River Rom and River Ingrebourne, it aims to provide practical skills and confidence to participants so that they can be ?River Keepers' in the area. Find out what this means here: https://www.thames21.org.uk/leading-waterway-event-training-land-fanns/

Attending both Day 1 and Day 2 is required for the accreditation which will enable you to lead events under Thames21's Public Liability Insurance.

Jon Cruddas MP commented: "this is a great opportunity for residents of the area with a keen interest in conservation and the environment. It would be quite an achievement if these courses could establish a team of residents all qualified to help maintain and enhance our waterways in conjunction with Thames21."
