Have Your Say On Bus Route 372

TFL are proposing to make changes to how bus route 372 serves Rainham Station in a bid to try and improve the interchange for passengers arriving or boarding at Rainham Station. They propose to reroute the 372 via Rainham Station eastbound only.

From Broadway, it would operate via Old Station Lane, Celtic Farm Road and Ferry Lane, returning to the line of route on Wennington Road. The bus stop on Wennington Road would no longer be served. However, the stop on Celtic Farm Road would replace this. TFL have informed commuters that their journey time would increase slightly.

A review of the possibility to also reroute the service westbound at Rainham station was also considered. However, TFL states this would require the bus to travel via a longer loop via the station, and would have required additional time in the schedule impacting the service in a negative way.

TFL would like to know what you think about their proposals for route 372. You can complete the online survey at consultations.tfl.gov.uk/buses/372/ or write to them at FREEPOST TFL CONSULTATIONS. The deadline for the consultation is Sunday the 10th of December 2017.

Jon Cruddas MP said: "I am always in favour of TFL reviewing services, but it is essential that residents have their say. The new service must serve residents efficiently and if the new changes are confirmed, I hope it impacts Rainham Town Centre in a positive way. I urge residents to have their say, especially if this proposed route will affect their commute."
