Ford Lane Parking Bay Refresh

Residents of Ford Lane, Rainham recently reported to Jon Cruddas MP that parking bays located on the road have become extremely faded, causing the problem of countless parking tickets being issued. Jon's action team were on the doors last month speaking to residents about local issues when they noticed that this problem came up several times.

Jon took the issue to Havering Council immediately and has since had confirmation that Highways Officers have added his enquiry for inclusion in the forward maintenance programme. They will advise accordingly by way of street notices, which will be erected in the street with a minimum of 72 hours in advance, advising of when this will be actioned.

Until such time as this can be actioned, the council have advised residents to only park on the footway within a clearly marked bay. Alternatively, vehicles can be parked with all four wheels in the carriageway (where it is safe to do so and will not cause an obstruction), or preferably off street on their own property.
