The council have teamed up with a number of community organisations to provide practical help to those that need it all from one place. A bit of shopping, emergency food and supplies, picking up medication, or a friendly phone call. They can all be arranged through BD CAN, the new Citizens' Alliance Network.

Tackling Unscrupulous Price Hikes at Local Shops

Barking and Dagenham Council have established a special enforcement
team to crack down on any local shops looking to profiteer from the current
situation by hiking prices on essential items such as toilet roll and handwash.

Every One Every Day

A new online neighbourhood has been set up as part of the Every One Every Day initiative in Barking and Dagenham. It is an excellent space to share recipes, gardening tips, and to take part in fun activities such ass online ‘tea and toast' sessions, and cookery/exercise classes.
