Over the last few weeks the City Airport ‘Master Plan’ has come to light and Jon Cruddas MP has been contacted by hundreds of residents with their concerns.

Jon Cruddas commented: “Looking at the plans I also have my own concerns around air quality and increased noise pollution across the south of my constituency. This coupled with the proposed waste incineration expansion in Bexley could potentially have a real negative impact on health in the area.

“As the Member of Parliament for Dagenham and Rainham I will be seeking assurances from City Airport in the coming weeks and months. I hope to be meeting with representatives of City Airport and members of HACAN East to get both sides of the story.”

When Jon has more details, he will report back to residents. In the meantime, City Airport have launched a consultation and Jon is encouraging people across Dagenham, Rainham, South Hornchurch and Elm Park to have their say.
