CHCC awarded £10,000 by the Big Lottery Fund

It has recently been announced that the Chadwell Heath Community Centre is to receive a £10,000 donation as part of the Big Lottery Fund's Awards for All programme.

The remarkable donation will be used to purchase furniture and equipment, and will go towards ensuring that residents have access to a wide range of varied activities and events when the new centre opens in September.

Anne Estlea, the Chair of the Chadwell Heath Community Centre, which is now a registered charity said: "We are delighted to have been chosen to be a recipient of the award, and we pass our thanks on to the organisers."

Jon Cruddas MP who is a trustee of the charity commented: "This is an amazing contribution and will go a long way in securing improvements to the centre during its refurbishment. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished centre, and have every confidence that it will soon become a major anchor in the local community of Chadwell Heath."

The new library is set to open to residents on Monday 29th September.
