Autism Awareness Coffee Morning

Monday 27th of March to Sunday 2nd of April is the official Autism Awareness Week for the UK, with Sunday 2nd April officially marked as World Autism Awareness Day. Autism is a lifelong developmental disability that affects how people perceive the world and interact with others. Autistic people see, hear and feel the world differently to other people.

Jon Cruddas MP continues to work with families and charities across Dagenham and Rainham to help families living with autism. Working alongside his Havering Coordinator, Fay Hough (who has a 5-year-old son with Autism) Jon has put together a campaign expanding across Autism Awareness Week which will include visits to charities, visits to autism services and includes a coffee morning in Dagenham especially for families and adults living with autism.

If you would like to attend the coffee morning on Wednesday 29th of March at 10am please get in contact with Havering Coordinator Fay Hough. The venue is in Dagenham East. Places are limited and will fill fast, so please contact ASAP on 020 8984 7854 or by email at: labourfay@outlook.com

Jon Cruddas MP commented: "Throughout my years of being a Member of Parliament for Dagenham and Rainham I have worked with many families and adults with autism. I admire the hard work and dedication families continuously put in to accommodate for their loved ones living with autism, and I would like to reach out to my constituents offering my support and hope to meet with several of them during Autism Awareness Week."
