Gemma Gray the Community Champion for Dagenham's Asda store has gone above and beyond for Asda customers affected by the pandemic.
Last week Asda was contacted by an elderly customer who was unable to leave their home due to shielding and had no access to the internet. Selflessly, Gemma stepped in to do the customers shopping in her own time, and even delivered the shopping to the customer personally after work.
This fantastic work has resulted in Gemma being named the Superstore South Colleague Hero Of The Year at the Proud to be Asda Awards 2020. There are countless others that have stepped up throughout the pandemic to support their local community.
