Jon Cruddas MP supports campaign against Wennington mineral extraction site

Back in 2013 the residents of Wennington Village contacted Jon Cruddas MP raising their concerns about proposals to establish a mineral extraction site on land adjacent to Wennington Hall Farm. At the time Jon met with residents and the council; supporting the people of Wennington Jon Cruddas said: “I am firmly against these plans as it is the overwhelming sense from residents that if these plans are given the go ahead that Wennington will change out of all recognition.”

Don't Let Wennington Rest in Peace, Join the Protest and Save the Village!

This coming Sunday, 16th March the Wennington Village Association and Jon Cruddas MP will be protesting against plans to establish the Gravel and Mineral Extraction Pitts on 25 hectares of land adjacent to the A1306 opposite the new Links Golf Course which is currently being built. This will permanently change life in Wennington Village.

Jon Cruddas MP has been contacted by many residents within Rainham and Wennington over the past few months regarding proposals to establish a Gravel and Mineral Extraction site on East Hall Farm in the heart of Wennington.

Havering Aggregates Limited, the company behind the proposals, are hosting a public exhibition of its planning application proposals for the site. The exhibition will be held at The Church of St Mary & St Peter, Wennington Road, in Wennington between 9:30am and 5pm on Saturday 1st February.
