MP Welcomes Free Primary School Meals in London

Sadiq Khan Mayor of London has announced the introduction of a £130 million one-off funding plan to provide all primary school children in London with free school meals for one year beginning September 2023. This will help families struggling with the spiralling cost of living crisis, saving families £440 per child each year.

NATIONAL LOTTERY COMMUNITY FUND AWARDS HUGE SUM TO RAINHAM FOODBANK

Over the course of the end of 2022, the National Lottery donated funds to community projects up and down the country, including in Dagenham and Rainham. The National Lottery Community Fund provided almost 2,500 grants last year and one of their biggest funding grants was made available to the Rainham Foodbank.

NELFT Young Adult Network

Jon Cruddas MP was recently contacted by NELFT in regard to their Young Adult Network. 

As a member of the group individuals will: 

  • Help co-produce key transformation projects affecting Young Adults. 
  • Ensure Young Adults have an input and voice for every decision affecting their services with NELFT.  

To qualify to join the group you must be aged 18 to 24 years old and a user of NELFT services. Individuals are paid for their time and experience. 

Levelling Up Bid Success for Dagenham Heathway

In June 2022 Jon Cruddas MP supported the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham in their round two levelling up bid “Up the Heathway” seeking funds to transform Dagenham Heathway. This week the Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities confirmed that the bid had been successful, and the council had been awarded £10,883,068 for the project.
