Jon Cruddas opposes return of fox hunting

Dagenham and Rainham MP Jon Cruddas has pledged his full support to stop the Government from reintroducing Fox Hunting in England and Wales. The vote due to take place next Wednesday could see the 2004 hunting act overturned with the Tory led Government having a 12 seat majority.

Jon Cruddas MP: "I have been overwhelmed with the high level of residents in Dagenham and Rainham who want to see the ban in Fox hunting stay in place, and not return to the bad old days of animal cruelty being used as a poor excuse for a sport. I was proud when a Labour Government banned Fox hunting in 2004, and I will fight this Tory Government in its attempts to reintroduce blood sports."
