Civic Centre campaign update

It was confirmed in December that the Civic Centre is to be converted into a school as a savings measure. Jon Cruddas MP for Dagenham & Rainham has launched a large scale community campaign to fight the plans.

Following an earlier campaign that asked the opinions of every resident in the area, the people of Dagenham responded in the thousands calling for the building to continue providing public services for residents. Each week Jon will be interviewing local residents asking the question: What does the Civic Centre mean to you? The videos will be available to watch here: https://www.youtube.com/user/joncruddasmp

Campaign packs are now available to order from Jon's office ? the idea is to mobilise the entire community getting people collecting signatures down their streets. Campaign packs include posters, info sheets, petitions and badges. To request a pack please email your full name and postal address to: andrew.achilleos@parliament.uk (put ?Civic Centre campaign pack request' in the subject line)

You can also call Jon's office on: 020 8984 7854 to request a campaign pack.
