Havering CCG Secure Local NHS Funding.

On Friday the 25th of August Havering’s Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) announced that they have secured a share of over £1.2 million funding from NHS England to recruit GPs from overseas. The local scheme will see 35 GP’s recruited to work in Havering, with hopes that the recruitment drive will help improve patient access to primary care services.

Participatory City - Barking and Dagenham's Sustainable Revolution

Every One Every Day is the very pinnacle of participatory innovation, this project will see our community change for the better, forever. The Participatory City Foundation with the support of the Big Lottery Fund and other organisations has outlined a five year transformative programme for Barking and Dagenham.

The revolutionary £6.4m new project called Every One Every Day, is a vision for a sustainable community with a network of 25,000 people, all collaborating together.

Beam Park development - have your say

Last Sunday members of Jon Cruddas MP’s team visited Dagenham Farm, a thriving initiative supplying the local area with organic produce and equipping local residents with skills in cultivation and food preparation.   

Dagenham Farm is part of Growing Communities, a community-led organisation that creates sustainable urban farms.  Growing Communities has been based in Hackney since 1996 and expanded with the opening of Dagenham Farm in 2012. 

Local MP fights to delay Universal Credit

On 31st July Jon Cruddas MP co-signed a letter to the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions along with 30 other Labour MPs requesting a delay in the introduction of Universal Credit. Under the government’s current proposals Universal Credit is due to roll out in Dagenham and Rainham during November and December this year (2017).

Havering Local Development Plan - Have Your Say

On July 11th 2017, Havering Council released its Local Plan – a guide to the future development of the borough. The Local Plan sets out the Council’s vision and strategy for future growth and development over the next 15 years up to 2031. The plan also indicates the locations in Havering for future housing, employment, retail, leisure, transport, community services and other types of development.

Dagenham Police Station - the campaign continues

The campaign to save and retain services at Dagenham Police Station continues this week as Jon Cruddas MP urges residents to collect petition signatures on their streets. The MP for Dagenham and Rainham explained that the online petition “has already gained over 1300 signatures in the first week” but that many more are needed if the station is to be protected against government cuts.

Dagenham Police Station is under threat of closure - again.The Government are putting the Met Police under pressure to shut the station to the public and flog the building off.But this makes no sense.
