Call for more health provision in Rainham

Jul 30, 2014
With the ongoing cuts to our National Health Service, it is more important now than ever before, to fight for more investment locally. Our services have been cut back to the bare minimum and standards have slipped. This is just unacceptable. For the last four years Jon Cruddas has been pushing for more health provision in Rainham, to meet the needs of local people. Jon Cruddas MP and the Dagenham and Rainham Labour Party have launched a new campaign, fighting for more investment in our local health service. Having already met with senior consultants to discuss the options it is now time to get local people involved. Services such as Queen’s Hospital are coming under more and more strain due to cuts and closures across the area, people are not receiving the level of care or quality of service that they need. It's time to fight back and secure investment.Jon has staarted a petition calling on the government and Havering Council to recognise the need for more health provision in the Rainham area.If you are a Rainham resident and would like to collect a petition down your street, please contact Jon’s office sending your full name, address and contact number to andrew.achilleos@parliament.uk an information pack and petition will then be sent out for you to fill in and return. You can also add your name to our online petition below.

Proposed new bridge linking Rainham to Belvedere.

Jul 24, 2014

The Greater London Council and TfL are currently considering a new bridge linking Rainham, near Marsh Way to Belvedere. The suggested crossing would operate on a toll system similar to that of the Dartford Crossing.

As your Member of Parliament I am writing and asking you to raise your concerns, asLondon Riverside (BID) Ltd have confirmed that ‘without doubt this proposal will have a major impact on property (land & rental values) and traffic congestion’.

Jon Cruddas, local Labour MP for Barking and Dagenham strongly supports the terrific work of local resident Haedish Khera-White, who has managed to raise a fantastic £922 for the Chadwell Heath Community Centre which is currently being renovated. Haedish is the wife of local Whalebone Councillor John White, and is very active in the local community fundraising for local projects. This year Haedish ran the Brighton Marathon for CHCC. The Marathon is 26.2 miles long, which requires an enormous amount of stamina and training.
